Introduction and purpose

The purpose of this policy is to ensure that Munkedals Herrgård handles personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

A personal data is data that somehow identifies you as a person. That is, name, address, phone, mail etc.

We use this information to provide services, provide you with a better experience, improve services and provide offers that fit your specific needs.

The following information is a summary of how we collect and manage your personal data in accordance with the  Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

This policy is rooted in all our employees.

– Contact you via SMS or email or to notify of your booking status or information that connects to your booking before, during and after your stay,
– Diagnose errors, optimize the technology and be able to contact you in case of problems with a booking

You decide on your personal data

You have the right at any time and without charge to request that Munkedals Herrgård not to process your personal data for marketing purposes or withdraw your consent to this. You can exercise this right by contacting us at the following address: info@munkedalsherrgard.se

Please note, however, that even if consent is revoked, Munkedals Herrgård may, with other legal grounds, still have the right to process your personal information, such as the execution of an agreement.


Right to information

If you find that the personal data we store about you is incorrect or missing, you can always request that we adjust or supplement the information.


Transmission of information

When you make a booking with us via phone, email, online booking, we use your personal information to send a booking confirmation, important information about the upcoming stay and offers linked to the stay. Such mailings will be sent to the e-mail address you provided in connection with booking.

After the stay, a survey is sent out where we ask you to answer questions about your stay to help us improve our services.

We send newsletters to inform you about offers and current events. You can always unsubscribe from these via a link in our newsletters.


Collection of data when booking through an online Travel Agency (OTA)

When booking a hotel through an online Travel Agency, such as Boooking.com or the like. you submit your personal information to them. These personal data are responsible for and handled by the respective players in accordance with their personal data policy.

When a booking is completed through an OTA, they send certain personal information to the respective hotel to confirm that the booking is made.

We are not responsible for the respective players’ handling of the personal data you have provided directly to them.


Periods of retention

Munkedals Herrgård follows good practice in the hotel industry.

The same personal data can be stored in several different places for different purposes. This may mean that a task that has been removed from a system because it is no longer necessary may be left in another system where it is stored with the support of consent or for another purpose where the personal data is still needed.

Munkedals Herrgård can store your information for up to 5 years.


Measures for the secure processing of your personal data

Munkedals Herrgård uses industry standards to store, process and communicate personal data securely.

It is important to distinguish between ordinary and sensitive personal data. Sensitive tasks are e.g. ethnic origin, political views, religious or philosophical beliefs, union membership, and personal data related to health or sexual preferences. Munkedal’s Manor will never collect and collect data on sensitive data.

The staff at Munkedal’s Manor are bound by confidentiality agreements and process only the information their assignments require.


Terms

Booking and Confirmation/h3>
When booking on our website, a written confirmation must be received within 30 minutes, unless the guest should contact the hotel.
It is the guest’s responsibility that the contact details are correct.


Arrival/Departure

You as a guest have access to the booked room from 15:00. Check-out is at latest 10:00.
All guests should be able to prove their identity with a valid ID document if necessary.


Guaranteed until 18:00

The hotel is obliged to offer rooms to the guest until 18:00 on the day of arrival.
If the guest has not canceled or arrived before this time, the hotel can cancel the room without contacting the guest.


Cancellation / Non-arrival

Cancellation must be made in writing and no later than 18:00 the day before arrival.
If you as a guest cancel later, you will be charged on the first night, this also applies if you do not arrive.
If the hotel has had special costs as a result of your order you can also reimburse them.


Early departure

If rooms have been booked for a specified period of time, but guests depart before this time must be notified to Munkedals Herrgård no later than 18:00 the day before departure.
If this is not done, the guest may pay the same compensation as for late cancellation.


Certificate

At Munkedals Herrgård, no minor (under 18) can live without the keeper’s company.


Late arrival

The room is reserved for arrival no later than 18:00 hours.
In case of later arrival this must be notified to the hotel in advance.


Payment

The booking must be paid at check-in or check-out.
We accept the following payment methods: Mastercard, Visa, Amex, JBC and cash.
We do not accept checks, foreign currency or discount coupons.


Pets

Munkedals Herrgård only allows pets in a limited number of rooms.
Pets are not allowed in the main building.
You book our dogs allowed rooms by phone or e-mail.
Supplement: SEK 150/night


Extra beds

We have two rooms with space for extra beds, this is only possible in double rooms.
A supplement is added!
SEK 250/night.


Cot

For children under 4 years a travel cot can be booked free of charge.
Guests from 4 years and up must pay an extra bed and its additional cost.


Security

You as a guest should always find out where emergency exits, alarm buttons and fire extinguishers are located.
This information is provided on the inside of the hotel room door, in the information binder in the room and at the reception.


Responsibility for damage

The guest, or the person who is responsible of the room, is responsible for damages that occur as a result of negligence or unjustified behavior by the guest.
We remind you that at Munkedal’s Manor, all rooms and other areas are non-smoking.
In case of a breach, the hotel will charge for extra room cleaning.
This fee is SEK 2000 and will be charged from the final bill to the guest who is responsible for the room.


Parking

We provide free parking for our guests.

* The hotel has no strict responsibility for the property you keep in the hotel room.*
* In case of loss of room key is charged SEK200*
* Each guest undertakes to act in such a way as to show respect for other guests, and the hotel staff.*
* Alcoholic beverages can not be consumed in public areas of the hotel.*
